FOLLOWING ARE THE STORIES OF PETS FROM #672 - DELIVERED BY OPERATION ROGER DRIVERS IN 2013. WE ARE PROUD OF THEM ALL.

WE HOPE YOU ENJOY READING. WHEN WE HAVE PICTURES, WE WILL ENDEAVOR TO GET THEM ON HERE. We would also like to ask that if you have photos of any of the transports we have done, please send them along with an e-mail to: operationroger01@yahoo.com . We would love to get them on the following board.

Please tell us the pet's transported name & number, if known, as this is the way we have them recorded. If you don't know the name or number, the month & year the pet reached its new home and the name of the person who submitted the application will help.

Tell us about the photo-who/what/when/where, new name, etc. Give us an update story on the pet. We would really like to get all pets featured with a photo. If you have an updated photo of one already shown, please send it also. Many times someone wants to write about us and include pictures of the pets. They must have a digital camera photo 7 pixels and above. We can accept cell phone pictures for this website.

#783 ANGELINA (Shepherd x) Prescott, AR - Sangerville, ME
ANGELINA, an 8 w/o 4# English Shepherd female mix was born to Sissy under Jack M's house and was the only surviving pup of the litter.  Driver Lisa M contacted her daughter, Laura, whose family pet had recently crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.  Upon seeing a picture of Angelina the answer was an enthusiastic yes!  Lisa's granddaughter, Angie, renamed her from Sugar to Angelina and will call her Angel.
Used to big dogs, Angel took to Lisa's traveling companions, a big Mastiff and a Pit pup, with no problem when she met them in Hope, AR.

#782 COOTER (Redbone Coonhound) Independence, MO - Rochester, WA
COOTER, a Redbone Coonhound, 7 y/o 76# male, was picked up in Council Bluffs, IA, by Driver Jim F from Gilbert Q who was taking care of Cooter until we could get him transported back to his ex-wife in Rochester, WA.  While spending a few days with Jim at his home in UT, Cooter decided to dart out an open door.  Jim immediately notified all authorities in the area and, after a night outside in the cold, Cooter was very happy to be reunited with a frantic Jim the next day. Driver Brad M met Jim in Tremonton, UT, and delivered Cooter to an excited Raegan S in Ranstin, WA.  Brad said Cooter was a lot of fun to have on board.  One comment Brad made about Cooter was he recognized the smell in the air and got real excited the closer he got to home!  He was so happy to see Reagan, he almost knocked her down when he ran up to her!!

#781 STELLA (Great Dane/Boxer) Ferndale, WA - San Antonio, TX
STELLA, a 2.5 y/o 76# female Great Dane/Boxer x has been reunited with her family in San Antonio, TX.  When Sara L and her family moved to Texas, Stella wasn't kennel compliant and had to be left behind with friend Cathy B in Ferndale, WA.  The cost to transport her normally was more than she could afford as they are a single income family.  Stella has been a close family member since she was two months old in August 2011.

Driver Will A picked Stella up in Ontario, WA, determined to be the one to deliver her, but knowing it would take awhile to work his way to San Antonio. However, he hadn't counted on his truck having at least three major breakdowns before he finally made it to family in AL.  Driver Candi C worked hard to get a load toward Stella and met Will and Stephanie in Woodstock, AL, and then delivered her to a very happy family in San Antonio.

#780 GIRLIE (Cane Corso Mastiff) Tonopah, AZ - Conroe, TX
GIRLIE, a 2-3 y/o 100# female Cane Corso Matiff, was found as a stray wandering about AZ with a male Corso believed to be her father. CCR pulled both, saving them from the death chamber. Because of her location in Tonopah, she had been passed over for adoption many times. Girlie's foster found her a forever home in Conroe. Driver Ann H said Girlie was a great passenger and a joy to have on the truck.  Girlie was a conversational piece while enroute as well.  Everytime a man came up to pet her, she would turn around and show them her butt!

#779 WILLIE (Shepherd x) Marianna, FL - Fallon, NV
WILLY, a 10m old, 30# male, is now home with Cliff H, a 100% disabled Vet. He had seen Willy's picture online and knew he was subject to being euthenized. He is active in Horse Rescue but this is his first cross-country dog adoption rescue. Rescuer Michelle F told him, if he could find transportation, they would temporarily foster Willy until he could go to his new home.Cliff did find transportation for Willy and got him vetted. The transporter took the money upfront and disappeared. It is not easy to find transportation for dogs from FL out to the West. Cliff prayed every night Willy would make it safely to him.Driver Lisa M picked up Willy in Tallahassee, FL, and took him to LOH Jeanette P in Terrell, TX.  Jeannette kept him until they had a family emergency.  LOH Cindy Z drove from Ovilla after Willy.  He stayed with her until Driver Lenny M picked him up in Grand Prairie, TX, and took him to meet LOH Elise W in  Checotah, OK, before taking him on to Midwest City, OK. A few days later, she drove Willy to Kansas City, MO, to meet Driver Jim M to finish the last leg of his journey home.  After touring the US with Jim and his 2 awsome companions, Casey and JR, Willy finally met Cliff H, his new fur-ever Dad, in Fallon, NV.  It took three layover homes and three drivers to get this pet home.

#778 JASPER (Great Dane) Battle Ground, WA - Cushing, TX
Jasper, a 1.6 y/o 150# male Great Dane, reportedly had Addison's disease and needed an experienced person to help him. He had been shuffled around and not treated well. He needed a place that not only knew about his illness but could be with him 24-7 to relieve his stress. There hadn't been any qualifying adopters in the Battle Ground area. A rescue in Cushing, TX, was found so could live out his life cared for and loved.  Driver Brad M picked up Jasper in Renton, WA, and delivered him to Driver Jim F in Tremonton, UT.  As Jim had a family member with a dog with Addisons, in the month his family served as a LOH for Jasper, they knew all the symptoms were not there so perhaps Jasper is going to be okay afterall. Driver Candi C met Jim's family in Tremonton, UT, for his ride to Tyler where he met his new family. She said Jasper was an awesome and sweet boy who could get in and out of the truck with no help, for which she was thankful. She enjoyed his companionship.

SISSY, a 7 m/o 15# male Carin Terrier/Chihuahua, was driven from Newman by volunteer Christine K to Atlanta, GA, to meet Driver Roger Fischer. Jacqueline C said she and her fiancee have been looking for a long time to find a dog they believe would be a good fit as both of them grew up with dogs in the house and were now in a great place to have a pet again. She terms Sissy a beautiful little girl she couldn't wait to meet. Roger delivered Sissy to her new family in Arlington, VA.

#758 BRANDO (Cane Corso Mastiff) Columbia City, IN - Clarkston, WA
Brando, a 6 y/o 202# male, is another awesome Cane Corso whose life was saved minutes away from the death chamber in Chicago. Many CCR and shelter volunteers stepped up to save him just in the nick of time. Brando was adored by his current foster family. Unfortunately, that was meant to be a temporary situation and the time had come for him to move on. CCR had an awesome foster family in the state of Washington who has been patiently awaiting his arrival and there is also a possible forever home right around the corner from the foster! As with his name sake, Marlon Brando, Brando had packed on the pounds as he reached his golden years and topped the scales at 202 lbs. The rescue, in addition to finding him a loving home, CCR had to find a foster that was willing to help him lose those extra 60 lbs.
He likes to chew on his chew bone and will chew other objects, such as, books, magazines, etc., if left unattended without a bone. He is obese so it does sometimes take treat encouragement to get him into a vehicle. He loves cheese and will do ANYTHING for a morsel of cheese. Brando is truly a gentle giant who loves everyone he meets and is quite content at just being with his humans. He made an awesome copilot.  However, there were some hurdles to get over.
CCR transported Brando from IN to St. Louis, MO, to OR LOH Brigette N, who had driven from Kansas City, and then delivered him to Eric, one of CCR's MO fosters. The day he was to board the truck with Driver Jim F in Kansas City, Brigette and Eric tried everything to get him in the truck with no luck; not even cheese. Eric finally decided to make a ramp for him. The next day Brando still balked. Jim and Eric got inside the truck to discuss how to transport this big boy. To their surprise, Brando walked up the ramp into the truck!! All he wanted was to be with humans. Hats off to those two for taking a day and a half to help him! Those two were certainly determined.
During the trip, Brando began getting in and out of the truck on his own!!! He made a point of making Jim pet him every half hour while en route!! Jim found he enjoyed this trip with him!!
Driver Brad M met Jim in Tremonton, ID, and then delivered Brando to his new family in Tacoma, WA.

Blessing, a 3 month old 23# female German Shepherd/Lab, found a home when Driver Glenn W knew of a little boy whose family couldn’t afford a service dog. Because Blessing was so laid back and gentle, he knew she would be just right for the lad. Even as a puppy, she did not jump on people.
The pup was given to Coordinator Toni B by a local rescue and wanted Blessing to grow up in a family.  She talked to Yvonne, a service dog trainer friend, who also felt Blessing would be a good fit. Toni then called the mother. Despite Blessing’s heart condition, a thrilled Jeanette also felt the pup would be a good for her son and family. Glenn delivered Blessing to her new family in Nocona, TX.

Cosmo, a 1 y/o male 6# Mini Rex, was rescued from a neglectful home in March. Rescuer Erika M got him neutered and gave him lots of TLC.  Rescued with the idea that she would adopt him out to a good home since she had plenty of her own critters to care for, a great home in Las Vegas now wants him. Larry & Nancy M could not travel far due to being disabled, so Erika turned to Operation Roger. Drivers Mike & Cindy were able to pick up Cosmo in Auburn on their way into CA and deliver him as they went through Las Vegas on their return run back to CO the same day.  Their two kitty traveling companions didn't give Cosmo much attention, being the veteran travelers they are.

#718 BABY GIRL (Schnauzer/Poodle) Woodward, OK - Ferriday, LA
BABY GIRL, a year old, 13#, female was found wandering in the country, matted, apparently having been dumped for some time, before our Lead Coordinator, Toni B, was informed of her.  Toni chased this little girl for four hours, even running out of her flip-flops to run barefoot, dodging traffic along a busy road, to keep this pet from being hit.  All this on a hot June day.  Toni's feet suffered blisters but she didn't care.  The safety of the pet was more important to her.
Toni brought her home, gave her love, got her spayed and cleaned up, and taught her humans can be trusted.    She told our driver Glenn W about Baby Girl.  He in turn told a former driver, Candi C, who in turn  told her  friend Mirra T.   Candi's mother, Judy,  agreed to take Baby Girl until they could get her to Mirra .
Team drivers Ron & Arlene B picked Baby Girl up in Sayre, OK, and took her to Judy in Texarkana, AR.  Toni, Arlene, and Judy all said Baby Girl loved to sit in your lap and be cuddled.   When she cannot see you all the time, she worries you are going to leave her like her previous owners did.

FROM A RESCUER JUNE 7, 2013
A personal observation is going to start my day today. I've been a volunteer with WOOF for three years. I only got totally immersed in what this shelter does within the last few months, and I am astounded at the effort this takes. The biggest wake up call to me was seeing the best and the worst of human nature. WHO IN GOD'S NAME DUMPS animals out on a county road and just drives away? I got a ... call that a Schnauzer was wandering around out at Hunter Road and Hanks Trail early this morning, so off I went with my good intentions and not much experience in how to catch a scared, fearful dog.

When I got there, here was this poor female dog, matted with dirt, dodging cars and semis, scared to death and covered with fleas and ticks. She wouldn't come to me, and this is my first rescue by myself. TO MY RESCUE comes our wonderful friend Toni Bowser, with hot dogs and a gentle voice. She started dodging traffic trying to help me. Then along comes LORRAINE TAYLOR who goes to her house to get a blanket to help us catch this puppy.

Meanwhile, some truck drivers stopped to try to help, while others sped by us making obscene gestures. See what I mean? Both ends of the spectrum.

We haven't caught the dog yet. Toni and her son are going back to help me after the dog gets hungry again. (She enjoyed a whole package of hot dogs....it may be a while.) Toni already found her a home, which is a great thing, because our shelter is full again.

THANKS TO TONI BOWSER, LORRAINE TAYLOR AND ALL THE GOOD GENTLE SOULS WHO STOPPED OUT THERE ON THAT ROAD TO TRY TO HELP ME HELP A DOG. As for the moron who dumped this poor dog out there, I hope someone dumps you out in the middle of nowhere with no home, no food, no shelter and no love. You deserve it.

#717 JASPER (Boxer/Pit) Spartanburg, SC - Petaluma, CA
JASPER, a  2y/o male 55# Boxer/Pit began his journey to a new home last summer when he showed up at the home of Diann L.  Knowing she could not keep him for financial reasons, she began to take him to adoption events held by a rescue organization.  As sweet and loving as he is, Jasper had one big flaw - he loves to run and will escape every chance he gets to roam the neighborhood.  Unfortunately, everyone interested in him could not provide a proper fenced yard for him.

A sister and her family in California agreed to adopt Jasper and give him everything he needs and deserves.  He will have the perfect fur-ever home.  Diann looked into flying him as baggage on a commercial airline but his breed of dog is prohibited due to health/safety issues.

Driver Mark O picked up Jasper in Spartanburg, SC.  He and his own traveling companion, also named Jasper, immediately fell in love as they made their way to Pittsburg, PA, to meet the next driver Helen J.  Things went well until Jasper decided to make his move and escape.  Jumping from the bunk and over the seat, he pushed by Helen as she was getting out of the truck.  She chased him for an hour before doing something unique.  She went into the truck stop restaurant and announced her Operation Roger transport had escaped and she needed help.  Reportedly the drivers immediately left their food and worked together to catch Jasper.  How awesome is that?

Helen met our LOH Deidra C near Eatonville, WA, to transfer Jasper.  Deidra says he was a perfect house guest and willingly went to his new family, Matt & Jenn C, who had driven up to get him.  Soon he will be surprised to see Diann again as she is joining her family for a vacation of camping and canoeing.  They're planning to take Jasper with them so he should have a lot of fun.

#715 AXIE (Doxi) Mesa, AZ - Dennison, TX
AXIE, a 3 y/o male 12# Doxi was both blind and deaf because of being a Double Dapple.  He was almost pure white.  He began his travels with Dennis L in Mesa.  We were told he was scared of other dogs.  At the time Driver Jim M picked up Axie, he was told he was dog aggressive which is not the same as being scared of other dogs.  Because of his fear of Jim's two dogs, Casey and JR, Jim decided to leave Axie in his crate.  Unfortunately, Axie barked the entire trip from Mesa to Las Vegas, NV.  Unable to take any more of the barking, Jim asked for help. Coordinator Toni B worked well into the midnight hour to find Driver Pat A.

Pat was southbound into Las Vegas and Jim was northbound so they were able to meet fairly quickly. Once Axie was able to get out of his crate, the barking ceased and he became a model citizen on the truck.  He and Pat got along fabulously.  Pat, headed for the Las Angeles area with several stops, wound up spending about three days there before he could get a load outbound.

On his way to Kansas City, MO, Pat swung through Oklahoma City, OK, which added additional miles to his trip. New Mom Anne S also helped tremendously by driving up to Oklahoma City to meet her new family member.  She tells us during the trip, Axie stole Pat's hoodie and made it her own.  Guess he liked Pat's smell and it made him feel safe.

Yes, Axie is here with me.  We ended up picking him up at midnight last night.  Pat had the chance to get to spend Father's day with his family and we wanted to make sure he could do that. Axie inspected the truck and then he promptly stole the pillow pet that Bree (my daughter) was using and went to sleep.  We moved him into my lap with the pillow pet and he slept all the way home.  Once we got home, we let him inspect our room a little and  since it was 3am, we put him in the bed.  He curled up and went soundly asleep.   He as spent the part of today that I haven't been napping, sitting in my lap while I played on the computer.  Bree thinks he might actually hear, but I'm not sure.  He does see the flash of my camera. He has licked my face and hands almost raw!  He's such a sweetheart.  Right now, we are working on just letting him get use to us and the house.  He seems to love it here.  I will keep you guys up dated and tomorrow when I am more awake I will post pictures   I cannot thank everyone enough for getting Axie to me.

#713 SPRING & #714 JINGLES (JRT) Greeneville, TN - Cody, WY
SPRING & JINGLES, 3 y/o Female 23# & 22# Jack Russell Terriers began their cross country journey in Greeneville, TN, with their rescuer Cheryl H.  She said she found it very difficult to do adoptions and find transports going from east to west without using the airlines.  It's usually not a very comfortable or safe ride for the doggies.

Driver Jim F was able to pick up Spring and Jingles in Knoxville, TN, from Cheryl H.  He laughed when asked how to transport went.  First the pair decided to chase a Wabbit, as Jim put it, through a small opening in a fence.  Of course, neither could fit.  He also called them escape artists.  It seems while he was talking with another driver, these two girls were plotting.  Jim thinks Spring was the ring leader.  The duo was supposedly resting but were busily chewing their leashes into and you know the rest of the story.  Yes, they were quickly caught but it did give Jim a bit of unwanted exercise.

The dynamic duo excitedly met their new Mom, Kimmy S, in Rawlins, WY, and were soon at their new home in Cody.  Ready to chase more Wabbits we bet.

 # 712 LOKI BONES (Rotti-Lab) Orlando, FL - Reno, NV
LOKI BONES, a Lab/Chow/Rotty mix 9 y/o 89# male needed to get to his owner who had moved to Carson City to help her mother who had just lost her husband and whose own health was declining.  Before we could get him moved, Dawne M, had to have back surgery herself.  Then the day she was released from that surgery she fell and tore ligaments and broke a foot.

On the first attempt to pick up LOKI BONES, the driver's 2# Chihuahua decided this 89# dog was absolutely not going to get in his truck.  He put up such a fuss that even Loki Bones, a very sweet and playful dog, was cowered.  The second attempt resulted in a no go when that driver's dog had pretty much the same reaction.

The third attempt by Driver Jim F, who didn't have any pets on board, was a success.  However, the area between Salt Lake City and Reno is a very difficult area for our drivers as we had no one going across.  Jim and his wife, Valarie, served as a Layover Home, in Logan, UT, for about six weeks since Dawne was recovering from breaking her foot and couldn't drive to get him.  We had a team come on board with us who quite often when through SLC and Reno into California...until they wanted to go that way.  In the next six weeks, their company sent them everywhere else but to California!

The day came when the team was going across and wanted to take Loki Bones.  Dawne, however, wanted to meet Valarie and insisted on doing the drive the next day, only to have her car break down.  Driver Brad M, who lives just out of SLC, drove north to Logan, picked up Loki Bones in his pickup and drove him to meet the Team Drivers Ron&Arlene B in Ogden so they could deliver him to Dawne in Elko, NV.

Florida and Nevada are both very difficult states due to their positions. We didn't have any drivers in the Florida area for a long, long time and especially who would be going northwest until Jim F began traveling that route this spring.  It finally came together but not without a lot of effort on the part of our Coordinators and Drivers.  Thanks to all, Loki Bones is now home with the woman who truly needs him.

#709 JL, #710 LEON, #711 MR. JINX (Fancy and Dumbo Ratties) Santa Barbara, CA - Arnold, MD
JL & LEON (Fancy Rats) & Mr. JINX (Dumbo Rat), all about 3 months and weighing about 1 pound each, are three pets of college student Marliana Z who moved back to her home town.  She had researched ways to transport her pet rats because airlines will not allow them to fly with her.  She thought it was hopeless until she heard about Operation Roger.

The rats had only seen a vet once when they were babies to be sexed by their previous owners and don't need health certificates, shot records as most pets do. Unfortunately, when Marliana left the rats with our driver, she didn't leave enough food.  Drive Brian D got lettuce, etc. from restaurants along his way to feed them after the food he had ran out.  During the trip, he learned his family had been in car wreck and headed home.  Coodinator Toni B arranged for the three ratties to be left with our LOH Bridgett N in Kansas City, MO.

Drivers Scott & Lisa C picked them up and made the delivery.  Their dog was merely "curious."  He sniffed them and even licked one.  Lisa bought them rat pretzels which they literally devoured.  When Brian came back on the road, he was very disappointed he couldn't pick up the ratties again.  Guess they did make an impression on him afterall.

#690 GINGER (Terrier x) Garland, TX - Grand Island, NE
Ginger, a 10 y/o female 10# small Terrier mix, joined driver David B in Mesquite, TX, after a stay with her rescuer, Maryanne S.  She joined another transport, Shelby, and David's personal Heeler/Pit, Izzy, for a short journey to her new home.

She took immediately to her new Dad, Mark L, by giving him lots of kisses.  As this was a surprise to Mark, David didn't call to inform him of Ginger until he was already on the way north.  Mark couldn't wait until the morning to meet Ginger, so he met David at the Bosselman's Truck Stop late in the evening. Ginger, herself with some medical issues, will be a comfort to Mark, a retired Navy veteran.

#689 CHA CHA (Cat) Watsonville, CA - Spanaway, WA

CHA CHA, a 6 y/o female 5# tabby was acquired by Melissa N for her mother Marsha N before she joined the Army.  Along the way, the family added a dog and, unfortunately, the two animals did not get along.  To keep Cha Cha from being taken to the pound, she decided to keep the cat for herself.

Driver David B picked up Cha Cha in Los Banos on his way north and was able to deliver her safely to Melissa in Ft. Lewis, WA.  David reports Cha Cha rode quite well in the truck and even got along with his traveling companion, a Heeler mix named Izzy.

#688 PET CRATE (42x28x30) Lexington, KY - Baxter Springs, KS
An extra large dog crate 42x28x30 needed to go from a rescue in Lexington, KY, to another rescue in Baxter Springs, KS.  Due to the size of this crate, it would have to be secured to the catwalk at the rear of the tractor between the tractor and the trailer.

Driver Jim M was able to pick up the crate in the Lexington area and keep it with him for 11 days while he delivered other freight around the country.  The crate finally was delivered to the rescue at one of the truck stops in Joplin, MO.

#687 LACY (Lab) Stanton, TX - Columbia, TN
LACY, a 50# female 3 y/o Labrador, has finally made it to her new home. Her owner passed away last July in West Texas and his son agreed to take care of Lacy.  However, just a mere two weeks later, he was killed in a hit and run.  Cousins Tammy & Justin L stepped in to care for Lacy until she could be transported to Savannah S, the Granddaughter of the original owner, Carl S, who couldn't stand the thought of giving Lacy away.  Lacy stayed on our Pet Board for a little over six months before we were able to get just the right driver through her area and headed into the right location.  It also took Deb D to come on board as a Layover Home during this time.  Finally, the timing was right.
Driver Glenn W picked up Lacy in Stanton, TX, and quickly fell in love.  It seems Lacy and her owner, Carl, would travel about the area with her sitting alongside watching the scenery.  Glenn says she got into his truck with no problems and promptly claimed the jumpseat position.  However, a time or two she did try her best to drive as well.  Glenn made a mistake.  Earlier, he had eaten a bacon and egg sandwich and a small piece of bacon had dropped on the floor, which Lacy found.  From then on he was the apple of her eye, especially when he brought her a larger piece from his breakfast the next day. Glenn noticed her collar was different.  It looked like a hatband with her name interwoven into it.  In addition, it contained an unusual gold 'W' insignia with diamond type studs.  He later learned the W was indeed special.  It seems the Grandfather was an uncle to the late Waylon Jennings and the 'W' was his own. Glenn dropped Lacy off with LOH Deb D in Memphis, TN, who will care of Lacy until Savannah and her mother can make the trip from Corinth, MS, to Memphis on the weekend to pick her up.

#683 MADALYN (DLH), #684 RUNT (Tabby), #685 SKIDDLES (Tabby), #686 TWIX (Tabby) Blytheville, AR - Albion, CA
MADALYN, a 12# 3 y/o DLH female, RUNT, a female 2 y/o 12# Tabby, SKIDDLES, a Grey Tabby, 4 y/o male 10#, and TWIX, a 2y/o 12# male Grey Tabby, and their owner, Eric, were stranded during a vacation near Blytheville, AR.  Eric could only get money for a bus ticket and could not take his cats with him.  The Blytheville Humane Society agreed to keep them until he could get settled in far northern California.  He is now with his sister, living in a trailer on her property.  The sister agreed Eric and his daughter needed the cats and the cats needed them.

Sue W of Operation Roger called upon former drivers Mike & Cindy G who travel with two cats of their own.  Unable to transport on a regular basis anymore due to family obligations, this couple readily stepped forward and made special arrangements to pick up these four felines and get them where they needed to go.  As it turned out, the drivers were able to pick them up on the back haul that took them right through Blytheville. The drivers reported it was a very emotional reunion with Eric, his daughter, and the four purring, happy-to-see-you-again felines.

#682 SAGE (Lab x) Akien, SC - Boston, MA
Sage, a 5 m/o female 32# Laborador mix's information was seen on a Facebook post of Maria E who explained the pup was to be euthanized if not adopted very soon.  Adopter Alicia P stepped forward to do just that.  The two women communicated back and forther for a week to figure out a way to get Sage from the Carolinas to Boston.  Alicia found Operation Roger through Google and stated she just wanted to save this dog's life and that five months is too short of a life.

Driver Mark O had his eye on Sage from the beginning but couldn't get into the right position as quickly as he wanted.  The shipper wouldn't respond to the calls of either of our Coordinator or the driver which made it very difficult to arrange the transport.  Finally, Mark was able to arrange to meet Maria in Aiken and thought he would get Sage up into a better freight lane for one of our other drivers to pick up and complete the trip.  But, as it turned out, he was able to get her all the way to Boston himself.
