#310 RUSTY (Rhodesian Ridgeback) Kilgore, TX - Independence, MO
RUSTY #310 a 21 mo male 70# Rhodesian Ridgeback was picked up by Driver Scott B near Kilgore. He had been rescued from a backyard breeder.
Scott was very impressed with Rusty and was certain he had been trained. Assured by both the shipper and the receiver Rusty had never had obedience lessons, Scott demonstrated to the shipper what he meant.
Most dogs would run ahead when someone they were walking with stopped. Scott would walk and then stop. Rusty would stop. Scott would turn around and Rusty would go around him and stop. Much to everyone’s surprise, Rusty even ignored a rabbit when it jumped up in front of him.
Rusty’s new “Parents” Kenneth and Linda M were very excited to see Rusty looked just like their Ridgeback who had died of cancer.
Scott reported Rusty was mellow with excellent behavior. During the trip, Rusty lay on the floor and refused to get on the bed.
