Saydie #210, a beautiful tri-colored 1.5 y/o, 20 pound Female Pembrook Welch Corgie started her journey in Medora, IL, with Tasha M. Eager to go, she easily settled into the truck with no qualms about anything. Picked up near Alton, IL, by driver Sue W, Saydie made friends with Sue's two malti-poo's, Louie and Douie.
Saydie had bonded with Tasha's grandmother on her two trips back to Illinois this summer and when it became apparent Saydie needed more attention than Tasha's family could give her, Peggy F, the grandmother, said send her out to AZ. On the second day on board, Saydie decided being lifted into the truck wasn't good enough. As Sue turned to put her inside, she scrambled in herself!
In Dewey, as Saydie awaited the reunion she was unaware was about to happen, she was constantly walking. When this car stopped not far from us, she stopped to look. When Peggy walked around the front of the car, Saydie froze, both ears pointed forward, her body almost "on point." You could almost see the wheels turning in her head. Then Peggy called her name and that was it. Saydie rushed to Peggy all wiggely and giving her kisses.
After a bit, she came back to give Sue and her grandaughter, Ashleigh, kisses as well. Then, Saydie scrambled up the steps of the truck to where Louie and Douie stood watching from the open doorway and gave them their goodbyes.
