#190 REX (Blue Heeler) Alanta, GA - Colorodo Springs, CO

REX #190, a 5 month old, 30 pound, male Blue Heeler was picked up in Atlanta, GA, by driver Brian B. Rex's owner, Myron, a truck driver who had to leave his truck behind in Atlanta and return home to Colorodo Springs, CO, without his companion.

Rex needed a repower as Brian only went as far west as the San Antonio, TX, area. Unfortunately, do to the quickness in which this transport transpired and the final destination location, our co-ordinators had a difficult time finding another Operation Roger driver available to take Rex.

After spending about a week with Brian, including an over the weekend stay at Brian's home, driver Glenn W met Brian in Port Allen, LA, and transported Rex to Roswell, NM. Rex was definitely confused but reportedly a good traveler. When he arrived in Roswell and saw his owner, Myron, he was estatic, so much so he peed all over. This was definitely one happy doggie.

An added note of humorous interest. Topping a hill near Roswell, Glenn met a NM highway patrol who informed Glenn he was a smidgen over the acceptable speed limit. Upon seeing and inquiring about Rex, Glenn told him about Operation Roger and what we do. The officer was so impressed he didn't give Glenn a ticket!!
