IRIS #109 a redish brown female Dachshund, about 7 years old, and 12 pounds has had quite an adventure. team drivers Hollis and Linda C drove in their personal vehicle to Roanoke, AL, to pick up Iris and five others from the Almost Home Dachshund Rescue and take them to Gadsden, AL. There, another driver, Tony H, transferred all six to his personal vehicle and drove them to the state line of TN where he met with Mary Ruth R whose rescue had agreed to be a layover home in Columbia. When team drivers E.J. and Bridgett M came through Nashville, TN, Mary Ruth met them with Iris. E.J. and Bridgett reported Iris was a well-behaved, sweet dog with one blue and one brown eye. Whenever the truck would stop she would be ready to go. The team had to be ready for her because she would leap trustingly into their arms when the door opened. Iris went expectantly to her new "Mom" Carol K.
