#270 BISCUIT (Walker Hound) Orange, VA - Salem, OR

Biscuit #270, a 50# 6 y/o female Walker Hound began her trip with Marcy D of the Orange County Animal Shelter who drove her all the way to Wythville, VA, to meet driver Jayne P.

Jayne reports Biscuit, now renamed Chloe, was unsure of everything all first, which is normal, but quickly made herself at home with two playmates, Milo, a Cocker-Pug-Shar Pei X, and Lucky, a DLH Cat.

Jayne ran into a problem enroute when her company told her she would need to repower her load in Salt Lake City if she was to get home in time for her niece's high school graduation as the freight out of Oregon was slim. Torn, Jayne talked to her niece who told her she thought what Jayne was doing was much more important and she should go ahead and deliver Chloe.

When they arrived in Troutdale, OR, they were met by Chloe's new mistress, Jordan and her family. They learned Chloe was a belated birthday gift to Jordan, which made the sacrifice even more sweet for Jayne.
