#282 ANDY (West Highland White Terrier Westie) Topeka, KS - York, ME ANDY #282 an 18 mo, 16# male. Rescuer Penny R brought Andy down from Topeka to meet driver Chris L in Ottawa, KS. Andy was a puppy mill rescue. He was naturally afraid of the truck at first. By the second day he was running around when Chris took him out to potty. His tail wasn't between his legs and he wasn't as intimidated by the noise of trucks around him. While she drove, Chris would reach down to pet Andy to reassure him. He thought she was playing and would chew on her hand. Andy and Chris' pet, Two Shot, would snuggle up in the bunk with her and go right to sleep. Andy arrived in Allentown, PA, and met his new family, Carrie S and Wendy H, who then transported him to York, ME. JETHRO #139

#139 JETHRO (Beagle) — Dayton, TN — Bridgewater, NJ JETHRO #139 a 7 month, 21 pound, male Beagle was transferred from Dayton, TN, by Linda F to Knoxville, TN, to meet with driver Tony H who then transported Jethro onto Bridgewater, NJ. Tony reports Jethro was laid back although he did initiate Tony's new mattress cover. Jethro wanted to play with Maria, Tony's tiny long-haired Chihuahua, but Maria wouldn't have anything to do with playing. Once in Bridgewater, Jethro was met by Sarah B, also with SOS Beagles who will transfer him onto his new home. #128 BRIE (Catahoula Leopard) Maryville, MO-Valdosta, GA Brie #128, a 1.5 year old Catahoula Leopard female weighing 46 pounds from Maryville, MO, was picked up in Kansas city, KS, from Marlene T of New Nodaway Humane Society, by drivers Terry & Linda S who transported her on to Valdosta, GA, and Dorianne S. Brie was rescued from a kill shelter in MO and is going to an approved Catahoula Rescue, Inc foster home in Florida where she will be specifically assessed for inclusion in a special education program for physically handicapped kids! Brie is very sweet-a little shy and likes attention, is rambunctious and is eager to please. #129 BEANIE (JRT) Calhoun, GA - Garden City, KS BEANIE #129, 6 year old, 15 pound, Jack Russell Terrier began his trip in Calhoun, GA, where he was picked up by driver Jerry H. In Nashville, Jerry also picked up two cats from a layover home. All three were to be picked up by their respective owners in Hutchinson, KS. However, Beanie's intended adoptive mom could not make the trip to Hutchinson from Garden City, KS. It was decided by the sending rescue to send Beanie home with the cats, Mini and Smudge, to be a part of Silent Angels in Leoti, KS. Beanie has an agression problem with other alpha dogs and Silent Angels believed they could help him. Operation Roger driver Jerry H 06 *************************************************************

Bobby #130

#130 Bobby (Catahoula/BlackMouth Cur) Knoxville, TN-Valdosta, GA Bobby #130, a 1 year old, 50 pound Catahoula/Black Mouth cur male was picked up in Knoxville, TN, by driver Danny W. Danny reports Bobby was the best Catahoula transport he has had to date. Bobby is very mild tempered and gets along with everyone and everything. He was newly neutered. He is inquisitive but as he wasn't on the truck very long, he was not a lot of trouble. Bobby was originally pulled from a high kill shelter in Florida and was headed out to be fostered in Arizona. However, before he caught his ride he got very sick and lost his placement in AZ. He has a foster home and adopters waiting in Florida for him who have already filled out an application. He and Brie, another Catahoula, will leave Valdosta, GA, with Dorianne as soon as Bobby gets into town-headed for the foster in Florida who is handling the adoption and fostering of Brie. Several dogs at the shelter came down with what Bobby had, but they didn't have the excellent care he recieved and a couple died. We are lucky Bobby made it through.
