Success Stories
Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!
The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.
This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name. However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical. Confused? Don't worry. Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually. Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.
If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.
We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

CINDY#101
#101 CINDY (Schnauzer Terrier) Anniston, AL - Sedalia, MO
CINDY #101, a 1 year old, 12#, Female has found herself a new home. One she never would have imagined.
Cindy showed up on the doorstep of team drivers Hollis & Linda C in Anniston, AL. After a couple weeks, this team was preparing to leave for the road and knew they couldn't add a third pet to the two they already had on their rig.
After posting notices around and getting no responses concerning a lost dog, Linda called Classy Lady/Sue W who suggested she look on the section of our board where individuals could post what they would like to have.
Most of these posts are truck drivers seeking a furry companion. Linda saw one there from September 2005 and figured the driver already had a pet but she called anyway. She was surprised to find someone she already knew in Operation Roger driver Joe F.
Joe made arrangements to meet Hollis and Linda in Anniston. When Joe called Classy Lady to report he had a companion on board she was confused knowing Joe had not been assigned to pick up a pet.
The lilt and happiness in his voice quickly dispelled that thought as Joe told her about the new lady in his life. This is definitely one happy driver and one soon-to-be spoiled pet. Good luck Joe and Cindy, you will make a great team.

CODY #160
#160 CODY ( Lab X) Cabot,AR - Wallingford, CT
CODY #160, a Lab Mix, 9 m/o, 40# came from Cabot, AR, with Debbie B to meet driver Jerry H in Little Rock, AR. Jerry then met up with team drivers Terry & Linda S who took Cody on this his new home in Wallingford, CT, with his new "Mom" Gail F.
Cody was rescued from a kill shelter in Little Rock. It is reported Cody is very sweet, but very unsocialized. When he first came out of the shelter he was terrified of everything and everyone but has some around and loves to be given attention and petting — but he is still a little afraid so has a tendency to be “over-exhuberant” in seeking attention by jumping and running back from you — then running back TO you. With close one on one contact, he will settle down very nicely and be a great guy!
