Animal Success Stories
Success Stories Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty. This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name. However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical. Confused? Don't worry. Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually. Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name. If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.  #263 GREEN EYES /#265 RED (Kelpies) Cabool, MO - Mansfield, CT GREEN EYES #263, a 2 mo 10# male and RED #265, a 2 mo 10# female Kelpie began their trips in Cabool, MO, with Susan, the rescuer, and Tawney, the foster Mom. Both were met in Springfield by team drivers Kris & Brandy P. Green Eyes made the trip ok but developed pink eye by the time he arrived in New Market, MD, about 18 hours later. Red had no problems. Sherry, a driver with Krystal's 4-Wheelers, took Green Eyes to a vet the next day after he arrived. She fostered Green Eyes until his sister, Red, arrived. Then, with the help of Clark with Animal Rescue Flights, both soon arrived home in Mansfield, CT, with their new Mom Cheryl. Red and Green Eyes were part of a litter found in a box alongside the road. They had been pulled from their mother too early, about 5 weeks, and had to be bottle fed. Some did not make it. This brother/sis were two of the lucky ones to find adoptive homes. Arranged by Team Leaders Kris & Brandy P Operation Roger team drivers Kris & Brandy P pu 4/23/08 and transferred to Sherry w/Krystal's 4-Wheelers 4-24-08 then Clark of Animal Rescue Flights 4-24-08 ************************************************  #298 GUNNY (German Shepherd) Rapid City, SD - Ft. Walton Beach, FL GUNNY #298 a 75# 5.6 y/o male GSD has been reunited with his owner, David. When his application came in, the location at a military base in SD made his transport very unlikely; complicated by his foster facing deployment overseas in less than three weeks. Tentative arrangements were made with a WY Layover Home to take Gunny. It would have required a two hour trip by both parties to meet in the middle and the soldier couldn’t cut loose to arrange it. During a call with Driver Susan M, Sue W asked her normal questions of Where Are You? and Where Are You Going? Susan’s answer - Rapid City, SD, for the next day. Talk about going into action. A vet appointment for Gunny was originally scheduled for two days away. A frantic call to the vet upped that date to the next day. Susan was, thankfully, able to wait and picked up Gunny about noon. Susan had to work her way to Florida with Gunny and reports the reunion with his master, David, was wonderful.
