Success Stories
Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!
The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.
This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name. However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical. Confused? Don't worry. Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually. Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.
If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.
We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

NAKITA #98
#98 NAKITA (Shepherd X) Hartsell, AL - Hartsell, AL
NAKITA #98 a Shepherd Mix, 6-8 month old Female was found wandering down a four-lane highway with a broken chain around her neck. Driver Tony H, couldn't pass her by. With a sigh he turned his car around and was confronted with a thin, hungry, thirsty, dirty, smelly but sweet natured Shepherd X. She had obviously been neglected.
Being the week-end, the local shelter was closed. Tony made a call to a friend at the local police department who offered Highway (as she was originally named) a cell...oops, we mean a crate, with plenty of food and water. An inmate, who was to be released the next week, offered to take her home. However, before the day was out, Tony had located a friend, Cindy M, who definitely wanted Highway. Tony had to go back to the jail and bail (we mean sign) her out to his care. Highway was quickly renamed Nakita. At last report, no one had claimed her and she was very happy in her new home with loving care takers.
Thanks for a big heart Tony.

NIBBLES #332
#332 NIBBLES (Dandi Dinmont Terrier) Honaker, VA - Edison, NJ
NIBBLES #332 a cute Dandi Dinmont Terrier, 4 months old, and only 10# was picked up by Driver Chris L in Hillsdale, VA, from Paula D, and joined her own traveling companion, Two Shot.
The two got along fabulously and even at one point were caught kissing. When Chris stopped for a break, Two Shot went out and did his thing. Nibbles watched and was quick to figure out she was supposed to do the same.
Met in Carlisle, PA, by her new family, Diana S and her husband and Daughter Diane, 10, who had driven over from Edison, NJ, Nibbles went eagerly to them and the excitement was catching.
Chris said Nibbles was a keeper. One she would have easily fallen in love with.
