Success Stories

Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!

The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.

This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name.  However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical.  Confused? Don't worry.  Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually.  Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.

If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.

We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

OLIVE #116

#116 OLIVE (Catahoula) Prague, OK-Edgewater, FL OLIVE #116, a 2-5 y/o Catahoula Leopard, 54#, Female was picked up by drivers Terry and Linda S in Prague, OK, from her Foster "Mom" Staci S enroute to her approved forever home with "Mom" Kimberly L in Edgewater, FL. Olive did a layover with Dorianne S with the Catahoula Rescue in Valdosta, GA, until driver Danny Joe W came through. Danny took Olive on to Tampa where her new "Mom" met him. Olive is good on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. She gets along with other dogs and is very animal and people friendly. Her story will have a happy ending. She was left abandoned at a house after her people moved away. Catahoula Rescue stepped in for her when the new home owner refused to have anything to do with her. It was quickly evident that she was very heavy with puppies. Olive had 12 beautiful pups and Staci has worked diligently to place them. Now it is Olive's turn! Arranged by Staci S, Foster Home and Dorianne Swift, Catahoula Rescue, INC Operation Roger Team Drivers Terry & Linda S and Driver Danny Joe W del 8/17/06 ************************************************************* Olive had a wonderful ride with her Operation Roger Drivers, Terry and Linda! It is always a pleasure to see them when they fly through Valdosta, GA! We decided in the end to have Olive end her OR trip here rather than going on further south because there wasn't a solid plan for someone to pick her up, and during the week would be hard for her new mom. Since I was on the way, anyway, it made the most sense for her to stop her journey here....and I will meet her mom on Saturday for the final leg of her journey! She is full of love and kisses and it is quite obvious she took to Terry and Linda! Wait until you see their photos! I will send an update to you when she gets to her forever home! Thanks you guys for helping Olive make it home! I am including a photo of her and the link to her story! Although the photo with Terry and Linda is much nicer. *************************************************************

ONE EYED JACK #250 *

#250 ONE EYED JACK (American Stafford shire Terrier) Phoenix, AZ-Oklahoma City, OK * ONE EYED JACK #250, 2 y/o 50-60#, male American Stafford shire Terrier began his journey in a California shelter and joined driver Kathy Y in Phoenix. Kathy said he was well adjusted with no issues despite his having lost an eye which had not be surgically closed. In Denton, TX, driver Jay M repowered One Eyed Jack and said he was a cutie, playful, lovable, and he fell in love with him. Jay said he looked over his shoulder at one point and found One Eyed Jack sound asleep on top of his clean clothes, which he had forgotten to put away. Not only that, but the pup had his nose buried into a pair of Jay's Downy fresh boxers. Operation Roger drivers Kathy Y pu 2-25-08 and Jay M del 2-28-08 ***************************************************** E-MAIL & PHOTO RECEIVED: Good morning: I wanted everyone at Operation Roger to see how One-Eyed Jack is fitting in nicely at his new foster home here in Oklahoma City. He's in a nice big yard, and has really taken up friendship with my youngest Staffie, 'Lando. He is getting homemade dog food, lots of love, training, lots of sunshine, and even more love! He even sleeps on the bed already with me and my eldest doggy. I have told every other rescue agent I know about how wonderful you all are. I have many blessings in my life, and now I can add all of you to this wonderful list. Thank you, with all of my heart and all of Jack's heart too!
