Animal Success Stories
Success Stories
Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!
The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.
This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name. However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical. Confused? Don't worry. Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually. Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.
If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.
We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

PEANUT #82
#82 PEANUT (Collie/Shep X) Vandalia, IL - Edinburg, TX
PEANUT #82, a 1-2 y/o, 35#, female Collie/Sheperd X, from Vandalia, IL, was picked up by Operation Roger driver Joe F in Effingham, IL. Peanut traveled with Joe to Florida before making her way to New Braunfels, TX, where she met her new "Dad" David who had driven up from Edinburg, TX, to get her.
Peanut was rescued from beside the highway by some pet lovers who had seen her sitting dejectedly beside a gunny sack. When they stopped, they discovered the gunny sack moving. Inside they found four live pups and some that didn't make it. Two of the pups took off and were not able to be caught or later found. Peanut was able to raise the remaining two who were later adopted. Peanut, herself, is now in a loving home with David.

POOKY #155
#155 POOKY (Boxer) Jacksonville FL, FL to Ozark, AR
POOKY #155 a Boxer, female, 3 years, 55 pounds, has been reunited with her family in Ozark, AR, after being stolen and taken to Florida. For whatever reason, Pooky was in the Sandford, FL, Seminole County, kill shelter where she was scanned, found to have a micro-chip, and her owner contacted.
Jodi, the owner, wanted Pooky back but could not financially afford to fly her home so her fate seemed to be sealed until Desiree B found Operation Roger and posted her on our board.
With only a couple days left for this little girl, Pooky was transferred to Jacksonville, FL, by Cynthia, via private transportation, to await transport by team drivers, Terry and Linda S. While there, Pooky was checked out by a vet and found to be ill, thus delaying her trucking adventure a bit. Yet, the day came when she was picked up by the team and delivered the next day to Ozark and a very happy "Mom" Jodi S.
