Success Stories
Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!
The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.
This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name. However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical. Confused? Don't worry. Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually. Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.
If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.
We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

TRIGGER #205 *
#205 TRIGGER (Dalmation) Fort Wayne, IN - Sacramento, CA *
Trigger #205, a Dalmation, 5 years, 65 pound Male began his unusual trip in Fort Wayne, IN, with team drivers Chris and Brandy P. Trigger was the personal pet of Reggie M's mother. When her mother passed away, the family he was placed with after Reggie returned to CA could no longer keep him. He is a special needs dog because he has had surgery in the past for urinary problems and is on special food.
Chris and Brandy were originally scheduled to pick up a load in Fort Wayne and had arranged to pick up Trigger. Then their load was cancelled, and they couldn't get there with their truck. They went far and above what is expected of our drivers by personally renting a car and driving from Chicago, IL, to Fort Wayne, IN.
Brandy fell in love with Trigger, but Trigger was initially scared of Chris and Brandy's little Yorkie. Trigger like to alternate between sleeping on the bunk with Brandy or sitting in the passenger seat whenever she drove.
Trigger arrived in Ontario, CA, where he was met by Cindy's fiance, Luke and taken on to Sacramento to be reunited with Cindy. A heart wrenching note about Trigger. He was close to Cindy's mom and at the exact moment of her death, he howled.

The following e-mail has been received:
Subject: Update on Trigger, trucked from midwest to Southern CA
To: operationroger@operationroger.com
I just want to again thank you for making my Mother's death bed wish come true. Several months ago one of your truckers brought my Mother's companion Dalmatian from Indiana to Southern CA for me to find him a home. I am happy to report that he is being adopted this week since his weekend sleep over went well. They love Trigger and he has a big yard, 3 sweet children and a stay at home Mom to keep him company. It could not have worked out better.
In the rescue world it is very hard to place big dogs. Thank you for making this placement possible in my neck of the woods so I can keep track of Trigger. DogDad and Katmom rescue group, and yours truly, thank you very much for saving Trigger. If you ever need help in CA, please feel free to give me a call. I will gladly return the favor.
God bless all of you for taking care of God's creatures, big and small.
Reggie M

I just left a voice mail for the family that adopted him requesting a picture of him for you. He was adopted by a stay at home Mom with two kids and a husband that commutes
so Trigger is the protector of the house. He is doing great and the family just loves him and he loves them. He is happy to see me but hangs real close to Jena (Mom) to make certain that I do not take him away. It is the absolute best situation for him. It could not have worked out better and you two are the cause of this happiness because you were willing to sacrifice your time and energy to get him to CA.
I am certain that he does not miss the cold Indiana weather. He loves his walks and playing with the other neighborhood dogs. He has a girlfriend across the street. I still get to see him, which also makes me happy. The picture attached is an old one that we used on our adoption website to get him adopted out. Take care and be safe out there on the road.

TIGER #233
#233 TIGER (Pit) Bedias, TX - Cordova, TN
TIGER #233 a brindle Pit, 3 y/o, 53#, began his journey in the Irving, TX, kill shelter from where he was rescued by Ginger B of Tuckers Tag Along. Tiger was first fostered in Grand Prairie before being driven down to Bedias to Regina T, of Taeger's Rescue, a layover home for Operation Roger. Regina had stepped forward to act as a foster for Tuckers Tag Along.
Driver Joerg T picked up Tiger from his wife, Regina. On the trip toward Fort Worth, Tiger decided to get under Joerg's feet and sit down on the brake pedal causing a very interesting situation. Another incident followed when they went through a guard shack. When the guard came out, Tiger met him at the truck's window, climbing over Joerg. The guard hurried back into the shack and refused to come out again.
Joerg renamed Tiger "Hooch," after a mischievous dog in a movie he had seen. Following a trip from Texas to Louisiana to North Carolina to Ohio, Tiger finally arrived in West Memphis, TN, to meet his new "Dad" Eric H. Joerg had arrived early at a truck stop where he was met by driver Sue W.
Unable to reach Eric, who was away on a trip but due back that afternoon, we began making inquiries into possible temporary quarters for Tiger when it became past time for Joerg to leave to continue his run. Sue called a former driver, Liz C, who promptly arrived to help.
As arrangement were being made, Eric returned to the area. Everything worked out for Tiger when Eric arrived from Cordova, TN. Tiger immediately took to Eric and when Eric took off running, Tiger was with him every step of the way, fully enjoying his new companion. Joerge, who had bonded with Tiger/Hootch, broke out into a wide smile knowing Tiger would be in a good home.

TWINKLE TOES #279
#279 TWINKLE TOES (Tabby) Yorkville, IL - Parma, ID
TWINKLE TOES #279, a Tabby 1.5 y/o 7# female, spayed, was lost for awhile between states. One Driver, Dellcina H, tried picking her up only to learn Twinkle Toes was in KY not IL.
Sometime later, another Driver, Jim F, was able to pick her up in IL from JoAnn G and get her all the way to Parma, ID, to her new family with Cassi L. A very happy ending for a pretty kitty who was saved by JoAnn before the 3 count for being pts.
