Success Stories

Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!

The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.

This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name.  However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical.  Confused? Don't worry.  Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually.  Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.

If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.

We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

LUKE #312
LUKE #312

#312 LUKE (Australian Kelpi/Sheepdog) Bangor, ME - Richmond, VA LUKE #312 an 8 yr 40# male Australian Kepi Sheepdog X had quite a trip for a working dog from Maine. Krystal of Krystals4Wheelers coordinated the following with Julia of Animal Rescue Flights (CT). Monique, the rescurer, delivered LUKE to Dave G, a pilot for Animal Rescue Flights @ Bangor, ME. LUKE then flew to Rochester, NH, to meet Steve F, a pilot with Animal Rescue Flights & PilotsNPaws. He then flew to New Bedord, MA, to meet his LOH Roxanne R. She kept Luke from Sunday until Driver Susan M was able to pick him up on Friday. Susan had already picked up Buddha from Martha’s Vinyard when she arrived to add Luke. Dave, Steve, & Roxanne pu 11/2/08. Susan M pu 11/7/08 del 11/8/08 ************************************************************** E-MAIL From Susan M After driving around and taking video and photos on Martha‘s Vinyard, we stopped at Kim's house and got her cat Buddha. He is a very cute and sweet cat. We made it back to the dock in time to catch the ferry back to Falmouth. Once back in my Nissan truck, I drove a short distance to Wareham, Mass and picked up LUKE. A cute and energetic Australian Kelpi Shepherd. He is 8 years old and has energy like a puppy. He was so excited to ride with me and really liked the cat Buddha, who was riding safely in his cage. About midnight I stopped in New Jersey at a Motel 6 and brought both pets in with me. To keep the cat Buddha safe from the dog Luke, I put Buddha in the bathtub (no water, obviously) and opened his cage to let him wander about the bathroom. I took his litter box out too and placed it near the toilet. I made sure he had enough food and water and then shut the door to let him rest in there. LUKE was running around the hotel room, but stayed near the bathroom door often to sniff the cat. At one point during the night, Luke jumped on my bed and slept at my feet. He would whine a little at wanting to play with the cat, and Buddha meowed a little during the night. I didn't get too much sleep. I slept as much as possible. I was up at 6:30am, took Luke out to the bathroom, jumped in the shower, then loaded pets and everything in the Nissan and proceeded to drive to the TA Truck Stop in Richmond, VA. I met Theresa and her husband who then took Luke to his new Ranch. **************************************************************
