Tell our supporters you appreciate what they do to help Operation Roger transport needy pets to their fur-ever homes across the country. Their donations are greatly needed now that the show management will no longer allow us to have the annual auction at MATS in Louisville KY. This yearly auction was the only income we could count on to keep the organization financially viable. When we had a tent on the parking lot, we were able to talk with potential drivers about volunteering to give a needy pet lots of TLC and a hitchhike to their new loving fur-home. Now we must travel to several major and minor truck shows around the country to do the same thing. This is not inexpensive. We are needing these Supporters as well as other companies and individuals to step forward to donate financially in order for us to continue our mission. We are an ALL VOLUNTEER group. No one is paid, not even the office help.		There are several charities, dedicated to helping drivers, who will be located in booths inside the convention centers. Operation Roger cannot have a booth inside the convention centers due to the high cost, which we just cannot afford. Most of these charities are geared for the drivers, which is fantastic. We are geared to the fur-babies for individuals and drivers alike. There are times when drivers will have their own personal pets on board and, for whatever reason, they meet with unforeseen circumstances out on the road and must return home. Buses are the usual way home for drivers and those companies just do not allow pets. We do our best to help these pets get home as well. Operation Roger is the only trucking 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to helping domestic household pets find a ride to their new or reunited homes, and we have been doing it since 2005. That's nearly 20 years! Nearly 1000 pets & supplies have been transported, generally one at a time in the cab of the truck with the driver, not locked in a cage the entire trip.
