Article 1
Section 1-02. Purposes.
The purpose of Operation Roger … Truckers Pet Transport herein called the Corporation, as stated in its Articles of Incorporation, are as follows:
The Corporation, which does not contemplate pecuniary gain or profit, incidental or otherwise, is formed exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501( c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), and particularly to: receive, maintain and distribute funds and other assets, and to administer and apply the income and principal thereof exclusively for such charitable, educational and scientific activities, transport, through the use of Volunteer Commercial Truck drivers, lost, abandoned, rescued, or left behind pets to new protective homes nationwide, and to serve supportive and leadership functions in strengthening the spiritual welfare of truck drives, and other individuals.

Article Five - Purpose
The Non-Profit Corporation is organized:
(a) To act and operate exclusively as a nonprofit corporation pursuant to the laws of the State of Texas and as an exempt organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, and to act and operate as a public benefit, educational, scientific, and charitable organization
Specifically, the organization is organized to
(1) Transport, through the use of Volunteer Commercial Truck drivers, lost, abandoned, rescued, or left behind pets to new protective homes nationwide
(2) Relieve the burden of pet transport from county and publicly operated SPCA’s and pet adoption agencies to new homes
(3) Train volunteer truck drivers in the care of adoptive animals
(4) Provide supportive and leadership functions in strengthening the spiritual welfare of truck drivers and others.
(b) To engage in any and all lawful activities and pursuits to support or assist such other organizations as may be reasonably related to the foregoing and following purposes.
(c) To engage in any and all other lawful purposes, activities and pursuits which are substantially similar to the foregoing and which are or may hereafter be authorized by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are consistent with those powers described in the Act, as may be amended and supplemented.
