Welcome to Operation Roger... Truckers Pet Transport!

Animal Success Stories

Success Stories

Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!

The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.

This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name.  However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical.  Confused? Don't worry.  Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually.  Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.

If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.

We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

ZACH #131

#131 ZACH (Beagle) - Dayton, TN - Nutley, NJ ZACH #131 a 2.5 year old, 22# pound male Beagle was driven from Dayton, TN, by Linda F of the SOS Beagles and picked up in Knoxville, TN, by driver Chris C. Chris reports Zach was very energetic and just couldn't stay out of trouble. He would come up on the passenger side seat to look out the window but would try to get on the dash. This he accomplished one time and rode there for about an hour or so until he decided the bumps were too much for him. He would play with the laces of Chris' extra shoes. Otherwise, Zach knew he was to stay in the passenger seat. Zach is a very laid back boy, housetrained, calm, quiet, who travels well. Zach went home with Chris overnight and did fabulously with all the children he found there. Chris does report Zach reacted adversely to the rattle of keys. Zach was delivered to Colin with SOS Beagles in Morristown, NJ, who will take him on to his permanent adoptive home with Elaine Z in Nutley, NJ. ZEUS #301

#301 ZEUS (Pit Bull) Reno, NV - Cheyenne, WY ZEUS #301 a 60# 2 yr male Pit Bull was picked up in Reno from Marc, Nevada HS. Although the actual destination for Zeus was the Denver area, Zeus’ new Dad, Roger, met them in Cheyenne, WY, because he thought it would be better. While we do want the actual city listed on the application, and Zeus could have missed a ride with a driver going through Denver and not Cheyenne, it worked out this time. While we were warned Zeus gets very hyper in vehicles, Steve didn’t find him to be so. In fact, he didn't want to let Zeus go. Steve calling his Team Supervisor Kathy Y asking "Do I have to give him up." Steve said it gave him a good feeling to help Zeus. Steve reported the Reno HS very pleasant to work with, which, frankly, is a pleasant surprise. It seems the people with most Humane Societies around the country are just the opposite. Thank you Nevada and Marc! Team Leader/Supervisor Kathy Y and Driver Steve M pu 9/30/08 del 10/1/08 **************************************************************
