Success Stories

Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!

The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.

This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name.  However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical.  Confused? Don't worry.  Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually.  Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.

If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.

We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.

KELLY #313
KELLY #313

#313 KELLY (Pek-A-Poo X) Virginia Beach, VA - Gulfport, FL KELLY #313, a 12 yr 25# male Pek-A-Poo X, had been left behind when his elderly owner had to move to another state and couldn’t take him. Instead she left Kelly with Jimmy F who arranged for the woman’s daughter, Larinda, to take him. As the webmaster for Operation Roger, Jimmy knew exactly who to call. Providence was with Kelly in the form of Driver Susan M. Normally, it is very difficult to get any pet moved along the I-95 corridor. This time Susan was in her personal vehicle returning from a vacation. She picked up Kelly in Richmond, VA, after Jimmy drove from Virginia Beach to make the delivery. Kelly joined Buddha whose final destination wasn’t that far from where Kelly would be. We will let Susan tell her story from here. Driver Susan M pu 11/8/08 del 11/9/08 ************************************************************ E-MAIL From Susan In Richmond, VA, I waited for Jimmy F and Monique to arrive with KELLY. He is a 12 yr old Peek-A-Poo dog. He rode well in my Nissan truck and had no interest in the cat. Once home, I let both Buddha and Kelly run around in my bedroom and bathroom. I put Buddha’s litter box in my bathroom and just let them sleep wherever they felt like sleeping. I fell asleep fast and slept soundly for about 7hours. I then got up, got dressed, loaded up the pets, and drove them in my Nissan pickup truck south to Wildwood, Florida. Where the I-75 meets the Florida Turnpike. I met Larinda and her friend Susie at the GATE Truck Stop that also has a Steak N Shake restaurant. She picked up her family dog Kelly. She had known the dog since he was a pup. Kelly was very happy to see Larinda and excited to get in her car. They also loaded up the 2 boxes of stuff that came with Kelly. Including his favorite polar bear rug/blanket. **************************************************************
