Success Stories
Operation Roger has had many happy endings from all the transports we have done. If you have a success story to tell us about a pet we have helped, please send an Email to operationroger01@yahoo.com and include a photo-we would love to share it with our visitors!
The latest completed transport stories are found under Information/Success Stories. We will add the update on the pet in red below our story. The stories found here are listed by the latest completed transport number at top. If you know your pets transport number, you may quickly find it in this manner. All of these stories will eventually be segmented into groups of about twenty.
This particular section you are reading now, located under Animals/Success Stories, lists the stories by the pet's transported alphabetical name. However, within the confines of each letter, the names may not be alphabetical. Confused? Don't worry. Scroll around and you will be able to locate your pet eventually. Sorry, but this is the result of the program, not us. If the pet’s name was changed enroute or at a later date, it will not show under the new name.
If you remember the approximate date of the transport and can't find your pet's story, Email us that information and transport name. We will endeavor to find the story for you.
We are always striving to improve our website. We hope you like what you see.
LITTLE MAN #108 *
#108 LITTLE MAN (Scottie Poodle X) Roanoke, AL-Randolph, NJ
LITTLE MAN #108 a Scottie/Poodle Mix), 1 year old, 8# Male began his journey in Roanoke, AL, as a rescue of Almost Home Dachshund Rescue. Little Man had been abused (shot with a bb gun and hit by a car).
He was one of six dogs picked up from the Rescue by Operation Roger team drivers Hollis & Linda C of Anniston,AL, in their personal vehicle.
Hollis & Linda then drove to Gadston,AL, where they met Operation Roger driver Tony H in his personal vehicle. Tony in turn drove to the state line of TN/AL to meet Mary Ruth R of Russell Rescue who had agreed to be a layover home.
It is reported Little Man likes to take showers. He jumps into the shower, waits to be soaped up and rinsed off. Once toweled he takes off happy.
Several days later, Little Man made his way to his new adoptive home with driver Tony H and met his new "Mom" Shari T of Randolph, NJ.
Arranged by Karen Nelson H, Almost Home Dachshund Rescue

THE FOLLOWING E-MAIL WAS RECEIVED:
Hello. I just wanted to say thank you to all involved for bringing me my new baby. It was a pleasure dealing with Karen Nelson (rescuer - rolltideinmayberry@yahoo.com), Michelle and of course, Tony H. who kept me constantly informed of how Little Man was doing on his adventure up to NJ.
Little Man, who has been remaned Tyler, is enjoying his new home. He travels with me to work, to the dog park and has even already spent a weekend on our boat traveling on the Hudson River and into the Long Island Sound!
Best regards to all and God Bless you for all you do!
Shari Tomasiello
